We feel that it is high time for another update on what is going on behind the scenes ,on the memit platform.
During the past first months of the new year we have been working intensely on testing and adjusting all the new features we managed to implement last year.To mention one example of this work, Elmedina, our QA tester, has with the help of Lise-Lotte, our Community Manager, almost tested the clipper on 200 URL`s during the past weeks. At the same time the same URL”s were also tested in Evernote and Pocket, to give us and Idea about what kind of improvements, these two platforms could inspire us to make on the memit clipper.
Another milestone was the update released on February 24. Lasse, our designer, has been working on the design of the new profile page ever since November, and during most of January ad February Kirill, our front-end developer was working on implementing the changes. The update allowed users to get a much better overview by showing a count of total memmes, collections, followers and the one you are following, as well as providing our users with shortcuts to view these. At the same release, we also had improved the clippers ability to grab and show thumbnail pictures from the memmed content, as well as improved the collection collaboration function.

Currently we are working on the next release, that will improve the on boarding process significantly. We have implemented the so-called hotspots, and other special new animations ,that will make the process of signing up to memit a much more pleasant experience, as we have made a big effort to explain and introduce the functions and usability to newcomers on the platform. Another area that has taken a lot of Oleg’s and Elmedina’s (lead Developer & QA engineer) time to implement and test, are the new options to connect memit to 5 different cloud solutions services (4 of them new)
The famous new “hot-spot“ From the new cloud connect page.
So this is just a tip of the iceberg of what has been going on behind the scenes on the memit platform during the past months, AND NO: WE DID NOT FORGET ABOUT THE ANDROiD APP!! But we hope this update will help clarify why it is still waiting in the pipeline.
Sincerely, Team memit.
